How often should municipalities conduct a self-assessment?
Municipalities should conduct self-assessments ideally on an annual basis. This tool can be used as part of
an annual assessment as well as to plan activities for the new financial year.
Who should complete the questionnaire?
It is recommended that the questionnaire be completed by a suitably authorised and functionally relevant
official with cross cutting responsibilities over all Human Capital value chain
elements (e.g. Head of Corporate Services, Head of Human Resource Management)
Do I have to be at the premises of the municipality to log in?
No, The tool is a web based portal that you can access through the internet at any location
Can I save a submission for later editing?
Yes, you can. Kindly click on the “Save” button.
Can I amend the submission details after it has been submitted for approval?
No. You should notify your approver to reject the submission. After the submission has been rejected, you
can retrieve the submission for amendment however an approved submission cannot be amended.
Is there an automatic log-out from the tool after a certain time?
Yes there is an auto log-out.
What can I do if I forgot my User ID?
You can use the “Forgot User ID” function on the login page. Follow the instructions and your User ID(s)
will be sent to your registered email address
